TIP™ for Treatment Zone 1
As a Treatment Zone 1 patient, your journey through the Tolerance Induction Program™ will follow the format of this map. While there are 4 steps to this program, the time it takes to accomplish each step will vary for each patient. Visit the Tolerance Induction Program™ page to learn more.

Each Challenge Visit will consist of challenging an allergen(s) and starting a new allergen(s). The patient will maintain a daily amount of the challenged allergen(s) and will increase the dosage of the newly introduced allergen(s) over the course of 6 to 8 weeks at home.
Each child’s Food Dosing Strategy at home is based upon artificial intelligence analysis of your child’s specific anaphylactic risk noted on their snapshot.
The patient will then return to our Clinic to challenge the allergen(s) they were increasing at home and will also challenge a new food and proceed with the same cycle.
A Southern California Food Allergy Institute patient is considered to have reached maintenance when he or she passes a food challenge of an adult-sized dose of an allergic food.
Upon reaching maintenance, patients no longer have to worry about eating their allergens every day or observing a rest period. In general, a patient’s maintenance dose schedule will initially be set at several times per week, weekly, or less than weekly dosing. Maintenance dose frequency will be reduced over time as tolerance builds. This tolerance is measured both clinically and on follow-up diagnostic tests.
