Dr. Figueroa is a board-certified pediatrician who received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency training at Miami Children’s Hospital. Dr. Figueroa spent his initial years practicing as a pediatric urgent care physician treating a wide spectrum of pediatric conditions. Prior to joining TPIRC, he worked with the underserved Navajo Native American population in New Mexico practicing as a hospitalist and seeing patients in a general outpatient pediatric clinic. Other than his interests in food allergies and anaphylaxis which brought him to TPIRC, he also has interests in asthma education and behavioral health.
