Andrew KangPhysician Assistant

    Andrew is a Physician Assistant who got his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from California Baptist University in Riverside, California. He was born in Korea and moved with his family to Virginia before making Southern California his new home. He graduated from University of California, Irvine for his undergraduate studies with a Bachelors in Biology. His desire to become a physician assistant grew as he gained experience working as an EMT and ophthalmic assistant in the healthcare field.

    What drew you to work at SoCal Food Allergy?

    I was drawn to SoCal Food Allergy because of its success rates in putting food allergy into remission. I’ve always been interested in groundbreaking developments in medical treatments and SCFAI is at the forefront of changing the way we treat food allergy. I am excited to be part of the passionate SoCal Food Allergy team to help our patients and their families achieve food freedom!

    What is your most memorable SoCal Food Allergy moment?

    My most memorable moment was when I saw pictures of my patient trying foods for the first time. I remember him telling me about all the different foods they were excited to try after the program. They definitely had moments where they struggled with the process, so getting to see them finally achieve their goal brought me so much joy knowing how much work it took.
