What drew you to work at SoCal Food Allergy?
SCFAI is such an innovative institution providing a sustainable and individualized approach to treating food allergies in children. The patient success stories have been so touching and amazing to see. Working here has not only been interesting but very rewarding as well. I love that you can build relationships with children and their families as they progress through their appointments and their journey to food freedom.
What is your most memorable SoCal Food Allergy moment?
My most memorable moment was when I had my first remission visit, and the patient finished his 75-peanut challenge. It is almost unbelievable to see a child with a history of peanut anaphylaxis be able to eat 75 peanuts in one sitting. He was so proud and happy he finished the challenge. The look on his face when we celebrated his accomplishment was priceless. All of the hard work and discipline he and his parents put into this program was worth it to get to that moment!
