Dr. Gomez has been in the Long Beach area since 2003. He completed his Pediatric Residency at UC-Irvine in 2006 and immediately transitioned to work at Miller Children’s Hospital. He worked there for over 12 years as a Pediatric Hospitalist caring for complex patients including many of Dr. Randhawa’s patients. He developed an interest in food allergies while in the hospital after seeing the toll they can take on patients and their families not only from a medical standpoint but also from an emotional and psychological standpoint. He now works for Kaiser Permanente in Orange County as a Pediatrician seeing patients in the Primary Care and Urgent Care setting.
What drew you to work at SoCal Food Allergy?
“I’ve seen the stress and problems caused by food allergies in patient’s that I’ve worked with in the hospital and in general outpatient clinics. To see that anxiety relieved by Dr. Randhawa’s treatment is very satisfying.”
What is your most memorable SoCal Food Allergy moment?
“I help patients during their first visit for their food allergy treatment. Having the opportunity to meet all the families excited to start the process is always a memorable experience.”
